Gravity-Defying Storage: Wine Angle

Wine Slant Single-Bottle Storage

When I was a little girl, I always wished I could fly, or at least defy the forces of gravity for a little while. I would hang upside down, and even shimmy across a ledge that went around the back of my neighbor’s 2-story house. Stupid? Most definitely. I could’ve easily killed myself had I fallen, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. (I can say that about a lot of things in childhood).

And even though I’m not a wine drinker, I always admire the design of wine labels. When my husband buys a bottle, I’ll sit there dissecting the design before he even gets to open it. But it’s hard to admire them when they’re tucked away in a cabinet or the pantry. (We’re not quite fancy-schmancy enough to have a wine cellar)

So what do you get when you combine my childhood desire for anti-gravity with my love for design? This awesome angled single-bottle wine holder from Terra Furnishings, which does appear to defy gravity with its precarious angle. It also would give me the opportunity to store one of my husband’s bottles in perfect horizontal position right on the kitchen counter where I can admire it. I don’t know how this thing works, but assuming it does, it is definitely a conversation starter. In fact, if you’re a lightweight drinker like I am, it might really mess with your head after you’ve had a glass too many.

Why It’s Green:

I’m not a wine drinker either, but I want one just so I can have it to show off! So cool!

wow, that’s awesome- my grandpa used to make these and sell them with his other woodcrafts at craft fairs. Thanks for the good memory- I miss him. :)
