Three days a week when I take my daughter to preschool, and anytime I head toward the Interstate to go to Atlanta, I pass a small shop on the side of one of the major road in my area. With a passing glance, it’s easy to think of the stuff they sell as junk. There are sculptures made of hunks of metal, car parts and a variety of other found materials, along with wind chimes and other front-yard contraptions. I’ve been driving by this place for years, and I think it tainted my idea of what metal sculpture looks like.
Thankfully, this awesome recycled metal circle stool/side table has drastically changed that perception. Who knew bits of recycled metal could look so good? It has a shape that is reminiscent of an hourglass with a sphere in the center to balance it out. It is one of those pieces that could be used as a side table in a reading nook, then cleared off and used as extra seating if you ever need it.
And to up the green factor, unlike plastic which can only be recycled a limited number of times before it winds up in the landfill, metal is infinitely recyclable. But since this is a table that will likely outlast your current decorating taste, when you get tired of it, find somewhere to stash it until you can pass it along to someone who will appreciate it — like your son or daughter moving into their first apartment.
Why It’s Green:
- Made of recycled metal
- Recyclable

I LOVE this design.
Aharon Hills last blog post..New puppy stuff.
wow! that is NICE!
Very nice indeed, although I doubt it could hold the weight of a decent-sized person to be used as a chair. Still, I’d totally buy it and use it as an end table.
We at Natural Fine Furnishings think this eco-friendly furniture post from “Green Your Décor” is a great. The recycled metal circle stool/side table is stunning. It reminds us of our stools/display end tables except ours are made out of eco-friendly wood like monkey pod (acacia). Our company produces 100% sustainable furniture and décor and is also a proud member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC). We only use certified wood for our works of art. If you are interested in any of the items we make for gift giving or just purchasing (teak spa decor, vases, stools, hand-slumped glass bowls, monkey pod benches, marble votive vases, teak framed mirrors etc.) then please check out our site at http://www.naturalfinefurnishings.com. We will also be at Highpoint 2008 market in North Carolina. You can see us in one of our two locations: Suites at Market Square EcoStyle Pavilion, Floor 1, Space # 748 AND at the IHFC Pavilion on Main Three, Floor 3, Space # M314. We appreciate you taking the time out and recognizing eco-friendly furniture and its beauty for the consumer and its beauty with helping to keep the earth a more “greener” place to live. Have a great day!
That is great. I think if you get tired of it, there will be lots of ways to recycle it again and again and again.
