Green Steals of the Week: Organic Cotton Nylum Duvet Cover & Alpaca Wool Throw

Frequent readers will know how much I love black and white. It is a color palette that is sexy, sophisticated and easy to customize to your own taste with the addition of your favorite solid color or two. I used this concept a couple of times in the Green Rooms in a Box series, including the sophisticated girl’s nursery and the bedroom on a dream budget.

Black and white at any price gets my attention, but black and white on sale? Sign me up! You may recognize the bedding shown above from the eco-friendly bedroom under $2500. Technically it’s black and cream, but it looks great all the same. It is made of 100% organic cotton and features and awesome nylum flower graphic print. Unfortunately, the shams are sold out, but the duvet cover is still avaialble at a steep discount of more than 60% off!

Want some even better news? The fluffy Alpaca wool throw blanket shown on the bed is also on sale for around 60% off!

Why It’s Green:

  • Duvet cover made of 100% organic cotton
  • Throw blanket hand-knitted of natural Alpaca wool
  • Gaiam is a green company with a great record of sustainability

Price: Duvet cover: $39.99-69.99 (on sale from $158-198) | Alpaca throw: $79.99 (on sale from $199
