Lay Your Drinks to Rest: Dinah Coops PaperStone Coasters

Dinah Coops Paperstone Coasters

I love dark wood furniture. What I don’t love is the dust, scratches and stains seem to be magnetically attracted to it. I learned the hard way about the toll cup rings can have on quality wood pieces.  Most people keep coasters in their dining room, kitchen or living room. But I have a habit of taking glasses and cups into the bedroom. The first real bedroom set my husband and I ever owned was so spotted with moisture rings you may have thought the pattern was intentional.

Coasters are now my best friend. And these beauties from Dinah Coop are both functional and fabulous. And the best part? They are made of Paperstone, a wonderful, hardy material that is made from 100% recycled paper and a non-petroleum based resin with a 1/32″ thick cork backing. Paperstone is also used for countertops, and from what I’ve heard, it performs very well in a kitchen environment.

Add to that the graphic silk-screened patterns in vibrant colors, and you have coasters that are beautiful enough to be grouped as wall art. Hey…that’s not a bad idea…

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of PaperStone, a material made of recycled paper and non-petroleum based resin
  • Hand silk screened

Price: $12
