Vertically Inclined: X CD Holder

X CD Holder from Zanisa

Ever since I got an iPod for Christmas a few years ago, I have rarely bought CDs. There’s some stuff I just cant find on iTunes, but for the most part, I just download the songs or albums I want. I’ve also converted most of my CD collection to MP3 format, so I don’t use them much any more. However, I do have quite a stack of software CDs on and around my desk. I keep them on hand in the event I ever need to reinstall. I also have a sizable supply of blank CDs and DVDs so I’ll always have one on hand to provide native files to my design clients.

What I don’t have is a good way to store them.  I’d prefer to have them up off the desk, because that is valuable real estate. Hanging some sort of storage unit on the wall seems like the perfect solution, and this X CD Holder from Zanisa will allow me to do that in style. Made of bamboo, it features 5 stylish, slanted compartments for storage. I visualize attaching some patterned wrapping paper or fabric scraps to the back for some added dimension.

Looks like my CDs will soon have a new home :)

Why It’s Green:

I love, love, love this! I have a stack of cds on the floor and I need to do something about it. This is a perfect way to get rid of clutter and start decorating my office space.

@Renee Sounds like a great incentive, and thankfully it isn’t too expensive :)
