A Dose of Personality: Sunburst Mirror from Viva Terra

First, I want to thank everyone for all your well wishes on my move. There were some bumps along the way, but at least the hardest part is over.

And of course, moving to a new place means I get to decorat — I am loving every second of it. In the few days that we’ve been in Tennessee, we have basically gutted two rooms of everything in them and started over. We’ve painted (more on that later this week) and furnished, mostly with items we already had.

Our new room has presented quite a design challenge for me, because it is small and laid out a bit awkwardly. But we are making the most of it. We now have a modern, airy color scheme that does wonders for making the room feel larger, and we’ve gone with lighter wood tones (in spite of my love for dark wood), which also makes the room feel more spacious.

We’re almost there, but for one more piece of furniture, window treatments and some finishing touches. We have no headboard (yet), so I’m looking for something spectacular to hang over our bed. This starburst mirror from Viva Terra would really do the trick. It is bold and dynamic, and it would help reflect light from the one window we’ve got to work with.

This goes on the short list, but the price tag, though not outrageous, means it may stay on that list for a while.
