Great Green Gifts: Damask Recycled Cotton Throw

Damask Recycled Cotton Throw

It’s no fun being cold. This is especially true for me, as I am originally from the Caribbean. Even though I’ve been in the states for nearly 10 years, I’m still more partial to warm weather than the chill of the winter. But since upping the thermostat also means upping energy use and our electric bill, I’ve learned to snuggle up in other ways. Besides, I’m not a big fan of the dry, artificial heat created by home heating systems and space heaters.

So if I woke up on Christmas morning with one of these Damask Recycled Cotton Throws by in2Green under the tree (if we put one up), I would be one warm, happy camper. It features a bold, graphic damask patter that is knitted right into the fabric, which is right up my alley. And it is made of recycled cotton, so it satisfies my inner eco-diva. If you’ve got an eco-diva like me on your shopping list, trust me when I tell you she will love this. It is available in 4 color schemes, so you’re sure

By the way, yesterday was my birthday, so if anyone is feeling generous, I like the brown and white and I’d be happy to hand over my mailing address :)

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of recycled cotton that is created from pre-consumer clippings cast off during the production process
  • Cotton is undyed, and the pattern comes from the natural colors of the cotton remnants

Who Would Like It:

  • A friend who loves interior design
  • Someone with eclectic, contemporary taste
  • A friend who works from home
  • An eco-diva

Price: $125 (aff)
