Which Green Room in a Box should I tackle next?

Green Rooms in a Box — Series Logo

When I was working on reader Dan’s eco-friendly bonus room, I remembered how much I loved doing the Green Rooms in a Box series. So I plan on doing a room at least once every other week, which was the plan once the original series ended. According to the results of the Green Your Decor reader survey thus far, all of you like the rooms as much as I love putting them together. But I’m stumped for what room I should do next.

So I’m turning to my great readers for ideas. What room would you like to see me do next week? A fabulous master bedroom? A room based on a color theme or a budget? Leave your ideas in the comments below. I’ll pick one and turn it into a fabulous room design next Wednesday. I’ll also thank the reader who leaves the winning comment.

So help me out and put on your thinking caps. I hope you’re as excited about this as I am!

How about an outdoor room? Which makes me think I need to stylize my balcony more!

How about a balcony or patio “room” that has limited space for those apartment and condo dwellers out there?

I know it will be GREAT, whatever you do! :)

I have to admit that the first thing I thought was “nursery”, and then I realized I’ve seen at least one green nursery out of the series… so I flipped through your archives and saw two! Sigh. Maybe in a few months you can do another ;)

Is there such a thing as a green bathroom/washroom? I mean in terms of toilets/sinks/tubs, you would look for… water efficiency? Anything else in particular? That might be interesting to see at some point too. Plus, who doesn’t love shower curtains? ;)

@Tatiana A bathroom is a great room to consider, though if we’re talking about fixtures and surfaces like flooring and countertops, it will get pretty pricey.

Just so everyone has an idea of the rooms I’ve already done, take a look at the entire Green Rooms in a Box series, and I’ll list them here as well:
    - 1 bonus room
    - 1 patio design
    - 1 home office
    - 3 nurseries
    - 3 kids’ bedrooms
    - 3 adult bedrooms
    - 3 dining rooms
    - 3 living rooms

I’m happy to do one of these again, but I just wanted to let everyone know what I’ve done so far.

Maybe a purple styled den? Mostly because that’s what I want to do in my den, and I could really use some ideas.

graces last blog post..What time is it?

It would be great for you to style a bedroom that both a woman AND man would like! That seems to be the problem I am running into now. He likes completely modern looks, while I would like to at least have one or two (eco-friendly!) classic elements, like a trunk by our bed. I would love your ideas on how to mix the two styles.

How about a kitchen/dining room in a box? We are starting to gather ideas on how to redo our kitchen and add a dine in area, but want to do it both green and economically. Thanks!
