Spring does things to my mood. It makes me want to spend every waking moment outside, breathing in clean, warm air and watching from day to day as leaves grow back on once-bare trees and flowers start to bud. This desire has been amplified over the past few weeks. Weak as I have been from the flu, going outside always provides a burst of energy. And ever since I featured Modern Outdoor’s Talt patio furniture collection a few weeks ago, I’ve been obsessed with finding an equally stylish, equally green, but more affordable alternative.
World Market has come through for me, sort of. Their Kona collection of Acacia wood outdoor furniture doesn’t have quite the same modern, urban loft feel as the Talt furniture, but it does have clean lines and gorgeous wood tones. Although it lacks the stainless steel accents that made the Talt collection special, the pricing of the Kona furniture is significantly lower, and you can always personalize it with some great outdoor accent pillows. The chair backs and table slats do have a somewhat Asian flair.
The collection includes a dining table, arm chair, side chair, side table, coffee table, bench (with or without cushion), occassional chair, lounger and even barstools. Each piece is sold separately, so you can literally mix and match your way to the perfect seating arrangement for your outdoor space.
I’m really getting the itch for some outdoor furniture, considering what we gave away all the patio furniture we had a long time ago. We have more important things to worry about right now, but when the time is right, I’ll have my perfect patio wish list set up and ready to go
