Moments like this one make me thankful that I sit behind a computer and not in front of a camera. I wouldn’t want all of you to see me drooling over this Recycled Aluminum Table from Pottery Barn. Don’t tell my husband, but I think I have fallen in love again. This is exactly the type of accent piece that I could build an entire room around. It has classic, elegant lines that are very traditional in style, but the fact that it is made of shiny recycled aluminum gives it a modern edge that makes it work for me.
I would pair it with one of Emeco’s Kong Armchairs, also made of recycled aluminum, in a shady corner of the living room with a vase full of fresh white flowers on top and a snuggly organic cotton throw across the back of the chair. It would be my special chair and table, mostly because noone else would want to sit on a cold chrome chair. To think that last week’s aluminum foil could eventually become a piece like one of these gives me added incentive to recycle.

I am in the process of redecorating my living room. I’ve donated all my current furniture and am slowly purchasing new pieces. I have looked for all organic/natural materials for my new pieces. I’ve also been to auction houses to reuse and recycle old beautiful pieces. This would be that perfect mix between old and new!

I was looking for this table in the summer before I found your site. I forgot about it until I saw it in a flyer for another vendor. It is no longer available through Pottery Barn. I’m trying to capture it again.
