If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email newsletter. And don't miss your chance to win a beautiful eco-art piece by Dolan Geiman or a pair of fragrant Pure & Natural soy candles!

Vote! Since it’s been about 2 weeks since I last did Link Love, I have lots to share with you. But my most important message is under the “miscellaneous” heading. So let’s get started:

Miscellaneous:

  • This isn’t a political blog, so I don’t write about politics. However, I believe that voting is one of our most important duties as citizens. November 4 is right around the corner, as are voter registration deadlines across the nation. If you live in the U.S. and have not yet registered to vote, I urge you to do so. It literally takes just a few minutes, and it will give you a more powerful voice than almost any other single action you can take. Vote for whomever you see fit, but please, just vote. Click here to get voter registration information, find your polling place and more.

From Green Your Decor:

  • One of the posts that’s been getting lots of traffic in recent weeks is the Top 10 Online Stores for Eco-friendly Decorating. It’s a big timesaver when you’re shopping online for green home decor. Start with any of the sites on this list, and trust me…it will make your shopping a lot easier.
  • For anyone who was wondering what decision I made about joining Wal-Mart’s ElevenMoms Initiative, you can read about it here: I’m Now One of ElevenMoms!
  • Green Your Decor is currently running one of the most popular giveaways ever, and with good reason. You have the chance to take home an Eco-Chef frying pan from Starfrit, and its performance lives up to its green credentials. You’ve still got a few more days to enter! Ends 10/8.
  • Want to make sure you don’t miss any great green products or projects? If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to Green Your Decor via RSS or email newsletter!

Thank you very much for sharing these blogs! I teared up for Karen’s blog and I’m Canadian! :)
Also- BAMBOO!! I had actually heard about this from an owner of an organic store in BC. But Bamboo is so inexpensive and accessible that i’ve sort of put that info aside… this is a nice reminder. As far as I’ve been able to find out, there is no safe, eco way being used to change bamboo fibres to cloth.
Some really trendy organic cotton clothing that i’ve LOVED have been from ‘oqoqo’. they are now owned by Lululemon (boo!) but they have a few clothing stores in Vancouver and you can order online. :)

@ Karen & David No need to thank me. They are great posts!

@ Lisa Thanks for the heads up about oqoqo! As for bamboo, for now, I’ll try to stick to products that use it in its original, wood-like state and stay away from the bamboo fabrics.
