For the past few months, I’ve been hard at work behind the scenes on a new project, and finally on Monday, all that hard work will come to fruition. Green & Gorgeous, the sister blog to Green Your Decor, will debut with great eco-friendly content on a much broader range of issues than I am able to cover here.
G&G will cover beauty, health, family, fashion, food, technology and travel & transportation. And it’s motto? Proving that “green” doesn’t have to mean “granola.”
I definitely count myself as a treehugger, but that doesn’t mean I want to wear the tie dye shirts and Birkenstocks that are traditionally associated with friends of the Earth. That doesn’t mean I don’t face challenges in raising my children to have the same respect for our planet that I have. I want to share my struggles and triumphs with all of you in hopes that they will help you overcome your own challenges.
Launch week will feature great content, some of which is more personal than you’ll find here at Green Your Decor, as well as green product giveaways and information to help you go green in style.
And please join me Monday night, August 3, at 8 p.m. EST for a Twitter party to celebrate the launch! The Twitter party will include giveaways that you can only get during the event, from 8-9 p.m., so you don’t want to miss it! To participate, be sure to follow me @greenyourdecor on Twitter, and use and follow the #gglaunch hashtag to keep up with the conversation.
I hope to see you there, and please stop by the site next week. I’ll be providing a special gift from my own heart (and wallet) for 10 of my first 1000 subscribers, who will be chosen at random once I hit that mark.
Thanks in advance for your support, and feel free to pass the invitation along to all your friends and loved ones!

I’m Jennae Petersen, and I’m a lot of things. A mother, a graphic artist, a connosieur of beautiful interiors and a purveyor of all things design. Green Your Decor was borne of frustration in my attempts to find eco-friendly housewares that were also beautiful, and inspiration to do something to reduce my own carbon footprint and help others do the same in a beautiful way.
