Get the Look: Pre-Painted Bamboo Blinds

Remember those bamboo blinds that I hand-painted last summer for my mother’s patio? Yesterday, I stumbled upon bamboo blinds with a similar style pre-painted on them at World Market. It is available in warm colors (red, orange and cream) and a cooler palette (blue, green and yellow). And even better, they cost less than what I paid for each of the original unpainted blinds.

I can’t vouch for where the bamboo came from or whether the difference in price is due to a difference in quality (although reviewers at the site say they’re good quality for the price). However, if you want a look similar to what I achieved, but don’t trust yourself to paint the design personally, these are a great alternative.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of bamboo

Price: $29.99

These are really cool! We had some plain bamboo blinds like this at our old apartment but I love how fresh and fun these are with the designs! (I don’t know if my boyfriend would approve, however, of something as girly as flowers. Maybe for my office…)

Beautiful treatment of it – love the pattern! I have some old bamboo blinds that need some life in them – I’m totally going to try this!

The prepainted designs are pretty but I think the ones that you hand painted have a warmer homey feel to them. It is probably because your design has a relaxing simplicity to it while the other one is kind of busy with a lot going on.

I would have never thought to paint bamboo blinds but I love the look… especially the ones you made by hand!
