Delicious Then & Now: Dark to Light Mango Wood Vase

Dark to Light Mango Wood Vase

I had been eyeing this absolutely gorgeous mango wood vase for a long time. But being the eco-savvy decorator that I am, I had to do a little research to find out exactly why mango wood is sustainable. See the “Why It’s Green” area below for more on that.

Sleek, sophisticated forms light my fire, and this piece may as well be a bunch of dry twigs thrown into an open fireplace. The transition from the lighter wood at the top of the cylinder to the deep, dark wood at the bottom is captivating. It is tall and regal, and the perfect vase to use for an organic bouquet centerpiece.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of sustainable mango wood, which comes from the trees that produce mango fruit.  After 20 or 30 years, the trees do not yield fruit that can be harvested for food.  When the trees reach that point, the wood can be harvested for industry.
  • Handmade

Price: $18.95
