Tiki Stool

Tiki Stool - colors

Lately, I’ve taken a liking to cool benches and unusual chairs. After all, sitting isn’t exactly the most exciting activity in the world, so you may as well look good doing it. This great Tiki Stool is the perfect marriage of form and function. It can serve as a modern side or end table with extra storage underneath when you need it to. But if you are entertaining, it can serve as extra seating for your guests.

Because it comes in a variety of fun colors, it is also perfect for kids’ rooms. And an added bonus: Sitting in it will help teach your children good posture. No slouching allowed here, kids. Its curvy, organic form is inspired by Tiki mugs and barware from the 60’s. So it will give you a little retro flair with a contemporary feel that is sure to liven up your room.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of durable rotationally molded polypropylene, which is recyclable. It is a curbside #5. It is also manufactured without dangerous emissions. Polypropylene can be recycled, incinerated, or thrown away without long-term harm to the environment. When burned, it gives off nothing but water vapor and carbon dioxide, which is converted by photosynthesis. That means, of course, that for it to reach its true eco-potential, you have to actually recycle it.

Price: $59.99 (aff)
