Green Rooms in a Box — Series Logo

In the months since I started Green Your Decor, among the comments I frequently get, both in person and here at the blog, is that going green is too either too expensive, not practical, or too hard to implement in a whole room. Those comments inspired this series, “Green Rooms in Box.” On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week and in coming weeks, I will present fully furnished rooms, from paint to lighting and furniture, in three price ranges:

* Under $2500
* Under $5000
* Over $5000

Each week, I will feature a different room, starting this week with the living room. I will then move on to the dining room, master bedroom, child’s bedroom and nursery, for a total of 5 weeks.

Each idea box will include numbered products. See the list below the photo for all those products along with their prices, a brief description of their green qualities and a link to where you can get them. Some of the products have been featured at Green Your Decor before. In those cases, the links will be to the in-depth GYD entries. Each room will also include one item that can be considered a “splurge”. In other words, it is outside the stated budget, but would be a great complement to the room if you can afford it.

If you are a new subscriber, you may want to consider subscribing to Green Your Decor via RSS or email newsletter to make sure you don’t miss the other great rooms in the “Green Rooms in a Box” series! Enjoy the series and thanks for reading!
