Recycled Radiance: Babette Holland Table Lamps

Babette Holland Table Lamps

When I first started really getting into home decorating, I was astonished by the number of choices I could make on any given day, both in a room I’m decorating and in the products to use therein. There are color schemes to be decided, style to choose (contemporary, traditional, transitional, or none of the above), fabrics and softgoods to find, furniture to rehab or buy…I could go on all day. So I love it when I am inspired by the creativity of the people who design the products I’m using.

Babette Holland is one of those people, and her work instantly inspired me. Her line of table lamps are truly works of art.  They are made of recycled and reclaimed aluminum and handspun into beautiful forms. Some of them feature vibrant colors and patterns, while others subtly shift colors to create a look that is truly unique.  I’ve already fallen in love with several and just wish I had a place to put them all.

I love with them so much, in fact, that I couldn’t bear to feature just one.  There are about 50 to choose from, so prepare to be just as indecisive as I was.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of recycled and reclaimed aluminum

Price: $329.91-$499.91

I am a perfectionist, so I am always overwhelmed by choices!! What if I see an even better rug a week from now? What if I see an even prettier color scheme? It’s hard to let go and be comfortable with the idea that there will always be better when you want the best.

@Mandy I know! With my indecisiveness, its a wonder I’ve been able to keep up with the Green Rooms in a Box series. If I didn’t have a self-imposed deadline, I would literally spend all day changing my mind about what bedding or rug or curtains or wall color to use. But you’re right. The key is letting go and learning to be happy and comfortable that your decisions are right, if not easy.
