Remember the cane chair I found at a yard sale last summer? Well, after looking at it for months, I finally bought some fabric for it when Mod Green Pod had a sale a few weeks back. MGP released their organic cotton Anticipate fabric in a new color not long ago, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was perfect for this project! The chair is relatively small, so I wanted fabric featuring large-scale pattern.
My husband and I plan to paint the chair white and reupholster the seat and back cushions. And I’m really looking forward to getting my hands dirty again! It’s been too long since I’ve had a project!

I knew if anyone would be able to see the picture of the finished chair that I have in my head, it would be you
That fabric is perfect! Love it and can’t wait to see the finished product.
Can’t wait to see it finished!
I’m eager to see how it comes out. I inherited a pair of those kind of chairs from my grandma, and would love to reupholster and paint them. I hope you share your process! I’m scared of reupholstering a chair like that.

Cross your fingers and say a prayer for me! We haven’t done anything like this before, but it doesn’t look too difficult to figure out. We have another chair that we’ve been too wary to try, but it looks to be much more difficult than this one.
Based on everything I’ve read, we just have to carefully document the process of taking it apart so we’ll be able to put it back together
Can’t wait to see the final. LOVE the plan already!
