Old, Made New: Reclaimed Wood Table

Reclaimed Wood Table

For years, we haven’t had a coffee table in our living room. Our reason is practical — when you have a toddler who likes to run, jump and flip, paring down to the basics means there’s less for her to run into. We’ve also never really had a need for one, preferring instead the space to stretch out on the living room floor for a good tickling session.

But if you do have need for one, this Reclaimed Wood table from Acacia is a great choice. It comes complete with a stainless steel channel tray in the center that would be great for accessorizing and completing the look for your room. Add a few candles, decorative stones or moss balls, or float some items in water for a more elemental display. Or in a suggestion straight from the product decription, you can even fill it with ice and use it to keep drinks cool while you’re entertaining. And even better, it can be used both indoor and out, so you can use it wherever you’ll need it most.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of reclaimed Chinese fir

Price: $179icon (aff)

I love this table. I have become the landing spot for all furniture that has meaning to the rest of the family. People pass a way…my family has no room…so they pass it to me. I call my house the house of chairs.

I saw you on MBC. I love you blog.

I think that is the coolest coffee table I have ever seen. I’d definitely want one if we had room for it.

ooo, that is such a cute table! we use a leather ottoman type coffee table that has storage in it. I love the storage and I love that it’s soft for my little monkey. This table would also be cute as a dining room table!

That table is insanely beautiful – and useful, and contemporary, and rustic all at once. We might have to share it at ecosalon and mention where we found it. ;)

That is a gorgeous coffee table!! Though, for me, I’d use it more for a art table for my son! The center makes a perfect marker/crayon keeper to keep them from rolling off the table.

My coffee table is in the unused bedroom due to a flying superhero. He keeps leaping off it to gain flight.

@Tammy Thank you for the compliment :) And I know what you mean — our first apartment was full of hand-me-downs.

@Stefanie Me too, except I know my little one would just try to use it to do back flips :)

@Gidget I love storage ottomans, and they’re great for hiding all the toys our kids will inevitably track into the living room.

@Sara By all means, be my guest :)

@Agent Tiki I hadn’t thought of that, but you make a good point, especially considering the fact that crayons at my house typically end up stuffed between sofa cushions or under the couch.

This is going on my list of things to get very soon. I love it. You have so many decorating options with this table. You can change it for each season and holiday, I have a thing for holiday decorating.
