Pretty Paperie: SusyJack Wall Art and Pencil Cups (+ Giveaway!)

by jennae on August 25, 2008

SusyJack Wall Panels and Pencil Cups

UPDATE: The entry period is now closed. Good luck to everyone who entered! The winner will be announced soon!

One thing I love about creativity is that it is limitless. You or I may see an object, like a piece of paper, and see it as nothing more than something to write on. Your child may see the same piece of paper, and see an airplane or a blank canvas for some great crayon art. And yet another person, like Susan Connor, a Manhattan artist and designer, will see that piece of paper as a way to inject bold patterns and colors into your home — all in eco-friendly style.

Connor is doing just that with SusyJack, her line of contemporary paper goods. I was particularly impressed by her pencil cups and wall panels in colorful, graphic silhouettes, many nature-inspired.  It isn’t always easy to dress up an office. It’s easy to let it become overwhelmed by paperwork and things to do, and forget that it is supposed to be an environment full of inspiration and peace — the type of environment in which you can get the most done.

Put a couple of these pencil cups on your desk in your favorite colors and patterns, with a group of panels hung on the wall behind you, and you’ll instantly brighten up your work space and make it a place where you’re much happier to be.

Why It’s Green:

  • Printed locally on a low-vapor press powered by windpower
  • Printed with soy-based inks on 100% post-consumer recycled paper
  • SusyJack uses upcycled, recycled, and repurposed embellishments in their designs whenever possible

Price: Pencil Cups, $8.50; Wall Art, $32

Very nice SuzyJack stuff. I have to send my wife to that site. It’s never too early to shop for the holidays, but I think she’ll buy the butterfly stuff herself. Those butterfly wall panels are pretty rockstar.

Having just recently moved into a new apartment, I’ve been taking this opportunity to truly try to make green decorating choices- and SuzyJack wall art is Gorgeous! I also LOVE the “Studio Clips”- what a cute idea that would look awesome in my office that my mom probably never thought to use her laundry clips that way!

My favorite SusyJack product is DAY OF THE WEEK CLIP SET and it only comes in one pattern. Let me comment on why I chose this…..because everyday I have important family papers to mail, bills to pay, homework for the kids to make sure they don’t forget, and these clips will help me stay organized each and every day! They are colorful and will look nice out on the counter but will keep everything contained and not just thrown in a random pile where I am apt to miss or lose something.

Her stuff is just beautiful. So clean and simple and natural. I love it. All of the designs are great. The Shasta and Iris items are my favorites though. Thanks to both of you for providing information that benefits all of us.
