Alphabet Animals: A-Z Poster by ink+wit

A-Z animal poster by ink + wit

As parents, there are lots of values we want to instill in our children. For my husband and I, a love and respect for nature and a love of learning are high on the list.  Even though there are only a few animals in the “zoo” where we live (it’s really more like a nature trail, even though they call it a zoo), my daughter loves to go there and see the bears, owls and river otters. She was even intrigued by a huge bee hive that the management saw fit to warn vistors about via a big warning sign.  So I guess we’re doing our job.

I love this A-Z animal poster by ink+wit because it will help kids not only learn the names of the animals, but learn to associate them with the letter their names start with — encouraging not one, but both of the values that are highly important to us. And the fact that it is printed on recycled paper with soy inks takes the appreciation for nature a step further!

To top it all off, it features a lovely color scheme and great illustrative style that would work for girls or boys. And if you’re the one who loves the animal kingdom, don’t be afraid to use it in an adult space. So get yourself a reclaimed wood or bamboo frame and hang this puppy up!

Why It’s Green:

  • Printed on recycled paper with soy inks

Price: $60

What are some of the values you most want to instill in your children? Or if you are childless, in yourself? Leave a comment and share your thoughts!

I like this! Our baby daughter is still in our room. Someday when we have a room for her this would be something nice to consider … or for a playroom for both our kids. My son already has a great love for animals. Both my husband and I are biologists.
