Time for a Greener Future: Resource Revival Clocks

Resource Revival Clocks

I am a firm believer that almost anything can be recycled. Some projects definitely require more creativity than others. But if you try hard enough, you can figure out a way to reuse just about anything you would normally throw away. Of course, there’s the little problem of what to do with all that “stuff” until you figure out how to reuse it.

The team at Resource Revival has mastered that ingenuity. These clocks, and all their other products, are made of bicycle parts. Not new parts created from a mold, but discarded parts they collect from bike shops across the nation. And they are cool-looking, too — perfect for a child’s room or really any room in an eco-savvy decorator’s home. Because if you know what it means to be green, you’ll know that bicycle riding symbolizes alternative transportation. The clocks are available in a variety of styles, including desk clocks and the wall clocks shown above.

But I love this company not only for their innovative products, but for the mission behind them. From their site:

Our mission is to create innovative products from recycled materials, to provide meaningful, living wage jobs, and to have fun. We envision a sustainable future where commerce flourishes in a world powered by renewable energy, and where consumers are conscious of the origin of the food they eat, the energy they consume, and the products they buy.

That’s the type of company I want to support.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of recycled bicycle parts

Price: $29.99-88
