When decorating your bathroom, it can be easy to make a quick stop at your nearest superstore to pick up a matching toothbrush and wastebasket made of cheap plastic — not to mention a stinky vinyl shower curtain to complement them. And while they may look good, can you really feel good about buying them? One thing I decided when I began my green journey was that I’d like my purchases — all of them — to look good and be easy on the Earth whenever I can help it. That’s not always an inexpensive motive, but it’s one I can feel good about.
The Barolo Bath Ensemble by Mike + Ally definitely satisfies my desire to be stylish and green, though they do leave something to be desired in the affordability category. But like anything else, there are affordable items, and luxury items, and this set is clearly meant to be the latter. Made of cork, they are stylish and sophisticated with a rugged quality only to be found in natural materials. The master bathroom in my and my husband’s dream home would be the perfect setting for these. Now we just have to buy the house.

These are very cool too! I recently re-did my bathroom in very earthy tone shades of brown and tan and this set would look very nice in there. I took a look at the website and was surprised to find they offer all of the bathroom accessories to match. This is a gerat green find!
