Pillows

I am starting to get the itch again. You know — the one that makes you want to redo every room in the house. We finished my daughter’s room last April, and I can’t help but feeling like it’s time for a change. Of course, because we’re renters, the end of our lease is always looming to remind me that it might not be worth the effort to do a whole new design. Still, I want to do something to freshen up her room, and these cute marionette pillows and prints by Ferm Living have given me a ton of ideas.

I featured Wabisabi Green here at Green Your Decor a LONG time ago. The graphic designs on the pillows are so fabulous that I can’t help but to love them! And finally, I am able to hold one in my hands. Without a doubt, this is now my favorite pillow in my living room.

Amenity never fails to impress me with their gorgeous eco-friendly furniture, organic textiles and housewares. This weekend though, you have a great chance to take advantage of big savings during their sample sale. You can get their beautiful pillows, wall art and table linens for up to nearly 80% off! I imagine a lot of this stuff is going to go fast, so you might want to act now if you’re interested! The wall art, particularly the ones geared to kids, would make great holiday gifts. Personally, I plan to get a table runner to use during the holidays.

Remember back at the beginning of October when I shared my entry in Ecover’s 30 Under 30 contest? If you don’t remember, Ecover is seeking 30 young people under 30 years old who are actively working to protect the planet. Well, I have great news.

I’m a finalist!

That mean’s I’ve already won Ecover products for a year, but I want to take this all the way. I want to win the grand prize: my choice of a 6’ Santomer dining tableSantomer bed and 2 Paulista benches OR a and 2-drawer end table by Environment Furniture, which are made from pieces of Peroba Rosa wood recovered from an old Brazilian coffee factory.

I’m admittedly a bit of a pillow fanatic. Thankfully, I own a sewing machine and possess enough sewing skill to make pillow covers I can switch out regularly. Still, I am always tempted to grab a few pillows here and there. After all, they are an incredibly simple way to change your decor for the seasons — which I really need to do now that the weather has turned cooler.

These pillows from Areaware via Gilt Groupe are incredibly affordable and feature graphic patterns that could work with a variety of decorating styles.
