Dan, one of my regular readers, was the winner of the Green Room in a Box giveaway waaaay back in October. I know…it’s taken me a while, but with the move and everything else going on, I had to put my designer’s hat on again

Rooms in a Box Series
Readers voted to see this patio weeks ago, and it is long overdue. I know we’re almost completely past the outdoor living season, but that makes it a great time to shop for next year, since furniture, umbrellas and other patio furnishings will be marked down, sometimes drastically. The table and chairs set in this room was marked down more than $100. This helped me stay within budget while still creating a versatile space with dining space for 4 and a lounge area.
In the world of decorating, I believe that eco-friendly is the only way to go, particularly for nurseries and children’s rooms, where safety is of utmost importance. As such, I’m a big fan of the Tiny Decor blog, which focuses on eco-friendly products for babies and toddlers. I’m an even bigger fan of the Tiny Decor boutique! Owner Jackie Hernandez has pulled together an awesome selection of Earth-friendly products, include a few of her own organic, handmade creations. To help her celebrate the boutique’s launch, I put together this nursery using only products sold by Tiny Decor (except the rocker). And if you love the way this room looks, you’ll want to check out the awesome giveaway at the bottom of this post.

I’m Jennae Petersen, and I’m a lot of things. A mother, a graphic artist, a connosieur of beautiful interiors and a purveyor of all things design. Green Your Decor was borne of frustration in my attempts to find eco-friendly housewares that were also beautiful, and inspiration to do something to reduce my own carbon footprint and help others do the same in a beautiful way.

Which Green Room in a Box should I tackle next?
by jennae on January 30, 2009
When I was working on reader Dan’s eco-friendly bonus room, I remembered how much I loved doing the Green Rooms in a Box series. So I plan on doing a room at least once every other week, which was the plan once the original series ended. According to the results of the Green Your Decor reader survey thus far, all of you like the rooms as much as I love putting them together. But I’m stumped for what room I should do next. :: READ THE FULL POST
