I’m not going to lie. Lately, doing projects around the house has been the last thing on my mind — particularly if said project is at all time consuming. Enter Walmart‘s Projects Made Simple series. If you’ve never heard of it, the name is a very good descriptor. Projects Made Simple is a series of DIY projects that come with video instructions and step-by-step guidelines for getting them completed. Included are small projects like painting an accent wall and installing a towel bar, and larger projects like staining a deck. This week, I chose to tackle a smaller project in my daughter’s room: I turned a section of wall in her room into a chalkboard!

Yeah…so you may have noticed that Green Your Decor hasn’t exactly been active lately. I have no excuse. Life just happened. On any given day, I’m working on half a dozen different things, and it doesn’t leave as much time for blogging as I would like. I wish I were writing this to say that I’ll be going back to a daily posting schedule. But the truth is, after about 2 years of infrequent posting, I’ve admitted to myself that’s not going to happen.
