In general, I stay far away from traditional Christmas decor. You’re not going to find red, green and gold with images of Santa and elves at our house. We pride ourselves on choosing a non-traditional color scheme for our holiday decor each year. But as you can imagine, it can be difficult to find pre-made items in color schemes like turquoise and lime green, orange and white, or what we’ve chosen this year, lilac, gold and creme. So I’ve resorted to making my own decor, including wreaths. However, I have gotten tired of starting from scratch every year. So this year, I bought an undecorated wreath form from Walmart and made it my own. Here’s how you can do the same:

Things aren’t like they used to be. Once upon a time, we used to get tons of Christmas card from friends and family members. Today, we get a handful of cards from a handful of people every year. I’ve always thought we should do something to display the cards we do receive, but I could never come up with a good way to do it. Until now.

With this awesome project, you can display your favorite holiday cards and even photo cards featuring your own family. And the best part? It’s super simple.

You’ll Need

  • Bare branches
  • Ribbon
