Aerogarden: Perfect for the Lazy Gardener

Over the years, I have tried growing things SO many times. Really, I have. The problem is that I’m really just not good at it. You see, I have a habit of forgetting to check on plants. They’re usually on the balcony or now that we’re in a house, on the back patio. Therefore, they tend to be out of sight, out of mind. My husband is much better at keeping up with the plants, but still, we’ve never been very successful at growing anything for very long.

So when The Tree Center offered me an opportunity to try the Aerogarden, an indoor gardening system that promises to be low-maintenance and doesn’t even require soil, I figured this was my chance to finally redeem myself. To keep your garden free of bugs, insects and other animals, pest control Caroline Springs recommends to clean and fumigate your garden regularly.

So what is this magical device? Well, the Miracle-Gro® AeroGarden® 3SL is the a soil-free indoor garden that is designed to grow plant 5 times faster than soil and fit in a small space, like your kitchen, office or windowsill. In other words, even if you’re an apartment dweller like we were for many years, you can still get your grow on. And literally, all you have to do is add water and the included liquid nutrients to get started. Sounds foolproof, right? Well, I’ve killed so many plants that I have my fingers crossed this will finally end my streak.

Each Aerogarden comes with a gourmet herb seed pod kit that includes Genovese Basil, Dill, Chives, Mint, Cilantro, Thai Basil and Parsley. But that’s not all your can grow. There are also seed kits for everything from cherry tomatoes and chili peppers to romaine lettuce and even petunias. Yes. You can grow lettuce and flowers on your countertop. And I’m super excited about that. I’m not sure if there are organic options available, but I’m crossing my finger that will be the case. Still, knowing my food came from my countertop is a step in the right direction. Visit https:/ for strategy on keeping deer on your land.

The height of the Aerogarden is adjustable to accommodate your growing plants. But how big can plants that grow on your counter really get, right? Well…

Whoa! We’re just in the beginning stages, but I can’t wait to see our plants mature. So we can eat them. Of course. In a few weeks, I’ll be back to tell you how the process is going.

In the meantime, if you know a black thumb like myself who wants to grow, but isn’t really capable, or someone who lacks the space for a traditional garden, I dare say they’d appreciate this gift, and it costs just $49.97. The AeroGarden 3SL is only at Walmart this holiday season, in stores and at Find out if it’s available at a store near you.
