I fell in love with Flor’s gorgeous carpet tiles way back when they were making mostly solid colors. I loved the idea that I could build geometric patterns that looked exactly the way I wanted, and that the carpet tiles came with the ease of being able to wash individual ones as needed. So when I saw these new patterns, I fell in love all over again. They WILL defy your idea of what carpet tiles look like.
Lest you think I can’t spell, my favorite of the new designs is Sophistikat (hence the headline). I’ve mentioned on more than one occasion how infatuated I am with Ikat. From the 5 bold color schemes (cobalt, hazel, palm, barley & pewter) to the huge scale of the pattern, Flor really got this one right. Even more beautiful is the fact that you can vary the pattern to make it look however you’d like, illustrated by the two images above.
More of the new designs:
Makin Waves
Posh Croc
Mag-Neat-O
Road to Damaskus
More Rockin

These are GORGEOUS! The blue is to die for, like, seriously. What a beautiful surprise it would be in an understated room… I would SO rock that in my beige and brown living room. Goodness!

November 1, 2010 at 7:13 pmI love FLOR. Last year I when saw Ray Anderson (FLOR founder) speak, he was so smart and inspirational. His goal is to accomplish Mission Zero by 2020. See more at: http://www.flor.com/promo/ray?gclid=CJKmm7T5gKUCFQtL5wodZx6NPw

All gorgeous, and I’m with you on the “Ikat” and using FLOR makes so much sense, and wish that all rentals had this textile if they could not provide natural floors. “Morerockin” is my favorite, but I’d take any, they’re so wonderful.
Thanks for your post! I follow you on “Twitter..”

March 7, 2011 at 11:54 pmFlor really did something amazing, they took a common product (carpet tiles) and literally carved a new niche in the flooring industry. Kudos to them for their creative insight and beautiful designs.
My business is fortunate to piggy back off their amazing marketing strategy.
Thank you Flor.
