My husband and I plan on having another child, and whenever we do, we want a completely organic nursery. Even though my daughter is only 2, almost everything from nursery has been repurposed elsewhere or given away, including her crib and changing table (a decision we made when moving back to Georgia). So we’d essentially be starting from scratch. And you know me — the design geek. I see it is a perfect opportunity to make the nursery a case study in green, stylish design.
I haven’t decided if this graphic Casablanca organic crib bedding collection is quite unisex enough, but it certainly is stylish! In decorating, you can almost never go wrong with basic black and white, provided you use it wisely. That means along with solid black or solid white, toss in a couple of bold patterns to liven up the space. This one is so bold that it might overstimulate and unsuspecting newborn, but there’s certainly no danger your wee one would be bored or disinterested.
Each piece must be bought separately. Available in this collection are a throw blanket, bumper and cover, crib skirt and fitted sheets in white or the Casablanca pattern. And if you want to make sure your baby’s style is always in sync with the nursery, you can get a matching 3-piece gift set that includes a bib, burp cloth and small diaper bag, or a hooded towel, all made of organic cotton.
