I hit the mother lode in green summertime dining with this one! Not to mention I’ve come up with the perfect summer date with the hubby (our anniversary is coming up). I’ll say up front that while it doesn’t necessarily qualify as home decor, it could dress up your backyard in eco-chic style for an intimate afternoon or evening meal.
The Eco Picnic Basket is deserving of its name, unlike so many other products that wear the “eco” label dishonestly. Every item in the basket, and the basket itself, has green qualities, from recycled wine glasses to bamboo plates and flatware. No landfill-clogging disposable plates or napkins here.
I’ve mentioned before how much my family likes to spend time outdoors in the summertime. We also enjoy having our meals outdoors, though we don’t do it very often. We can thank the wasps and flies that seem to love the burning bushes leading up to the front door for that. This basket might encourage us to venture out into the yard more often. I don’t know that I’d want to sit under the noon sun just for the sake of using it, but I can’t think of a better place to have dinner with my husband on our anniversary than our front yard.
