Lap of Doggie Luxury: Pet Murphy Bed

Pet Murphy Bed

Pet Murphy Bed This has got to be one of the cutest products I have ever found! Pet owners know this dilemma well — you love your dog, but that doesn’t mean you want to look at his bed every time you walk out into the living room. If the love of your life is a particularly furry critter, that bed is probably covered in hair, no matter how many times you’ve tried to clean it. And where do you stash it when when you’re having company over?

Not to worry. This stylish Murphy Dog Bed solves those problems — well, everything except all that excess hair. By day, it is a regular cabinet. Put an eco-friendly lamp on top can noone will ever know the difference. But by night, your dog will have a cushy, comfortable place to rest his paws. The only down side: the mattress is filled with polyester and covered in fleece. I would’ve much preferred eco-friendlier options, but you can always replace the cushion with something made of organic cotton or recycled fibers with an insert like kapok.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of recycled rubberwood

Price: $280 (aff)

Ok, but how do you teach them to put their bed away each morning?

@Dave Just use a tape recording with subliminal messages. You may be surprised at what you can teach a dog that way (wink). And of course, I’m kidding 😀

@michelle Its supposed to hold up to 200 lbs., but the surface area doesn’t look quite big enough for a German Shepherd. Sorry 🙁

I wonder if my husband would mind if I bought this before we actually get a dog. It’s lovely!
