Decorating is what I love to do, and my parallel love for the environment means that I always want to make it as eco-friendly as possible. This desire has made me knowledgeable about materials, fabrics, resources, stores and more in the green design world.
So from now on, think of me as your eco-design consultant — a personal shopper, if you will. You want a green room, and I want to help you get it. I will provide a virtual design consultation and best pin nailer that is tailored to your eco-savvy needs. You will receive a customized style board complete with color palettes and paint suggestions, furniture and accessories, layout ideas and more. I can help you make sure that the things you put in your home have as little impact as possible on you, your family or the Earth — and do that in style.
Interior design consultations aren’t cheap — you can pay anywhere from $500 to more than $1000. Not necessarily budget-friendly for most people. Here, you will get my best eco-decorating advice for about the cost of a few cans of zero-VOC paint. Give me $250 and one week, and you’ll have a green design solution that will make your space what you’ve always dreamed it could be.
If you’ve been following this blog, you’ve seen my Green Rooms in a Box series. If you haven’t seen it, check it out or click on the images below to see the full rooms! I want to give each and every reader the green rooms of their dreams, from furniture to fabrics and everything in between. So here’s how it works:
Send me photos of your room and tell me all about it. What do you hate about it? What do you love? Are there any pieces you want to keep? Tell me about your style and what your dream room would look and feel like. Send me photos of rooms you love if you have them handy. Set whatever parameters fit your lifestyle (ex. “needs to be kid-friendly,” or “I want to be surrounded by antiques”) Give me a budget to work with, even if its just a ball park figure. Most importantly, don’t be shy. The more you tell me, the better I can create a design and shopping plan that you’ll love to live with.
Over the course of 1 week, I will search high and low for products that will fit your needs. I will look at the items in your room to see what can be reused or repurposed and review your requests and try to present solutions to your design problems. The finished product will be a style board similar to the ones you’ve seen in the Green Rooms in a Box series — only it will be tailor made for you and your unique home. I’ll offer tips on placement of furniture and accessories in your room, how to best use your new color palette and more.
I believe “home” should be synonymous to “sanctuary.” And no sanctuary should be filled with toxic chemicals or items made with non-renewable materials. I you feel the same way, but just need a little help getting there, click the buy now button below to get the ball rolling on the green room of your dreams!
