40th birthday behavior! It’s so funny — ever

40th birthday behavior!

It’s so funny — ever since I turned 30, I’ve been jokingly telling my family I’m turning 29 again every year. The truth is that I’m actually not nervous about getting older. I’m excited about it. I’m excited about growing into who I am and who I’m meant to be. I’m excited about spending more years watching my kids grow up and married to the love of my life.

Plus, I’m told that turning 40 magically means you no longer have any fucks to give (though I was already in short supply 🤣), so there’s that to look forward to.

Happy birthday to me! I may be 40, but I still don’t feel like a grownup.

Our family tradition is to pick a new color palette for Christmas every year. When I told our daughter @julizaann that we were doing black & white this year, she was UPSET 😩 But now that it’s done? She loves it! 🙌🏾 Now we just gotta find the outfits for our family Christmas pictures.
