Every time I talk about a piece of furniture or I don’t need, I always find products that tempt me to change my mind. Since I mentioned last week that I’ve never had, or needed, a coffee table, I have come across several that have made me drool. This gorgeous cube is no exception.
I can always appreciate products with intricate detailing. Lately, I’ve been loving laser cut felt, but this cube blows all those patterns out of the water. Made of recycled aluminum, it is one of those pieces every guest in your home will notice and mention. The intricate cutouts give it an airy, unique feel that is often only found in pieces that are custom made. The high-gloss aluminum also gives it an industrial quality that would provide an edgy contrast to wood and other natural elements that are likely to be found in any eco-friendly home.
Put a couple of them together to make a great coffee table that can then be separated and used as seating if the need ever arises. Or create a fun, functional seating area in a child’s room. Forms like this challenge you to use them in ways that are unexpected, so here’s my crazy idea: To separate in a large room into more functional spaces, I would stack three or four of them vertically and mount them on a wall to create division. I can see it in my mind’s eye, but let me know if you have no idea what I mean

Furniture you can see through! My favorite!
Ooh, this is pretty! I couldn’t live without my coffee table to throw my junk on. This one’s too nice for that!
Marys last blog post..I’m a Writer!
@Tina If you have a small room, furniture that allows you to see the walls and floor is definitely the way to go.
@Mary I guess I never mess the extra surface space since I’ve never had one. But if I had this one, no one would be cluttering it without a hearty tongue-lashing from me
