Seeing Spots: Organic Polka Dot Towels

Organic Polka Dot Towels

In my previous post, I mentioned how anti-girly I was as a child. My own daughter, however, is as girly as they get. She loves playing with dolls, dressing up in frilly dresses and playing house, and she has a vivid, princess-filled imagination. She also loves bathtime, but her favorite towel has seen better days, so I figure I can reward her with a new towel that’s right up her girly-girl alley.

PB kids almost never disappoints when I’m looking for some kid-friendly inspiration, but I’m happy to see that they’re starting to deliver greener products to help me fulfill that inspiration. These cute polka-dot towels are made of organic cotton, and they’re available in a wide variety of colors — most of which are very reminsicent of Candy Land. What’s also great is that they are sold in sets, so for the price, you’ll get a bath towel, hand towel and washcloth.

Many of the colors are on sale for $14 off the original price, so if you were thinking of giving your kids’ bathroom a makeover, there’s no time like the present.

Why It’s Green:

  • Made of organic cotton
  • Free of fragrances and dyes

Price: $24.99-39

Love these – I also like Sandy’s idea of a color for each kid – I just wonder how long the pretty white background would stay white with my three?

I love these but like Alana, I wonder how I would keep them clean if I can’t bleach them! Still, they are way cute!

@SANDY You make a great point…and there are boy-friendly colors like blue and green, so noone has to be left out!

@Alana and elizabeth Peroxide is better than bleach at keeping whites white, and a lot less toxic too. I swear by it and always keep it handy at laundry and cleaning time.

Oh gosh, these are adorable. I am so in love with the organic Pottery Barn kids bath and bedding sets. And yet, we sell really gorgeous organic and playful organic crib bedding at my store, so I don’t want to like PBK stuff so much! But I can’t help it! They’re always “spot on” when it comes to style, and organic isn’t any different.
